Joseph Mensah. Film Producer/Musician
Film making in Ghana as a business is collapsing and with much concern every producer in the film industry is working hard to revive the dead industry especially those in Kumasi (Kumawood)

Joseph Mensah is one of the angry producers among the kumawood film industry. He was invited to Kumasi fm on time with papa Kumasi. But when he was asked what brought your industry to it's current state he answered.

"The movie industry is  collapsing because of he dum so (lights out) that occurred some time ago. Now that it is Ok. The foreign materials on our screens have prevented  Ghanaians from buying our own movies. BUT IF NOTHING IS DONE ABOUT IT, THE GHANAIAN CULTURAL IS GOING TO CHANGE TOTALLY IN THE NEXT TEN (10) YEARS".

Why are you saying that? asked by the host.
"most of the foreign telenovelers contain some characters that are not meant for us. There are a whole lot of movie lovers who are going to copy such characters.

The Anadwo Bogya hit maker concluded by saying, the national film bill must be passed out now to prevent all these things from happening.
